| Details: Time: 6:00pm-9pm. Though our team members provide a variety of services to the parents and children, they are essentially mentors. They provide enrichment activities for previously homeless children and their families, as well as helping them with the practicalities of daily life.
Our trainings cover the issues of working with homeless families in recovery from drug or alcholol addiction. Our training is about who we serve, and includes one of our moms telling her experiences. We cover drug and alcohol addiction, parenting and financial issues, domestic violence and goal setting. The portion on the nuts and bolts or working with a family is presented by former volunteers.
